You have a lot of choices when it comes to how you browse the Internet. There are five major web browsers and a couple of not so popular ones. Speed and security are the hallmark of a good Internet browser. A browser lets you search and view information on the World Wide Web. How can one identify the best from the rest? Read on and choose for yourself. Any of the top five browsers, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome or Opera, commands legions of patriotic users. Often times, people make their pick out of sheer sentiments. Believe it when I say you can only make the correct choice by firsthand experience. Download the five Internet browsers on your PC and choose for yourself. Some major things are common amongst the big five. They have good speed, light in weight, provides appreciable degree of security and reliable. The race for the number one popular spot is strong amongst the top five browsers. Let’s check to see which amongst the top five Internet browsers, is the best.
Internet Explorer
Internet explorer is compatible to all websites. Internet explorer provides safer surfing against phishing and malware attacks. Like any other rivals, IE8 performance is great. The last I checked, no top five browsers are without a security flaw. I was also aware Microsoft was, in a desperate move to cover up the potholes. IE8 has limited customizable features compared to Firefox. Nonetheless, Internet explorer is still fast, safe and easy to use.
Opera
Opera makes surfing easy. However, it has compatibility problems with some websites. I find more opera browsers on phones than on PCs in my 4 years as an IT professional. Linux’s latest browser, opera 9.64, enables you to download torrents files with built-in Bit Torrent. Customization with this web browser is also possible.
Safari
With Mac and Windows versions, it also improves user-browsing experience but has compatibility issues. One thing I like about this browser is its ability to notify your antivirus software whenever you download online. Safari browser helps block virus attacks before they could find their way to your PC. Like the top five browsers, it also has malware and phishing protection.
Google Chrome
Chrome lets you surf the net fast and with ease. It’s easy to use but lacks the huge customizable features that Mozilla Firefox has. Google Chrome is unique and simple but I think Google needs to improve on security. Oops! I can’t believe I just said that. Well, unlike Mozilla Firefox, my Google Chrome has never crashed on me. If you want simplicity, then Google chrome is your best choice.
Mozilla Firefox
I guess Mozilla Firefox has the best security features. It’s safe, fast and easy to use. The new Firefox 3.5.1 is fully loaded with thousands of ways to customize your browser. With this browser, you don’t have to install a plug-in to view displayed media files. Firefox is a brilliant piece of software with good web standard.
