Are you using any new adapters? Do you have a wireless USB stick in the computer?

OMG guys help! I have the same problem. I followed the steps, then tried to connect, then it connects for mayb 5 seconds then disconnects. This is so frustrating!!! I've fiddled with my internet for nearly 8 hours now and i cant find a solution! Please please help.
(i reset router, changed my IP, and btw it says Media is disconnected on the command prompt, im guessing that means something).
Help!

I would run Windows update and also check the manufacturer's website for updated drivers for the wifi adapter. It might be a known problem that has already been patched.

My notebooks connects to the Wireless network no problem when I power up. However, if I go in standby or drop the wireless connection for any reason, than it is impossible to restore it. The process gets stuck at Renew IP address... and then gives a "limited or absent connectivity" message.
iconfig/release and /renew do not help either...
