Wireless is never free, unless someone gives you permission to use their wireless network... such a coffee shop, library, or some other hot spot.

You can also get permission from a neighbor, but keep in mind that THEY may not have the legal authority to give you that permission.

Normally, when you sign the ISP's paperwork the contract's small-print usually states that you can't share the connection (or even give it away). Be careful. Some companies are really cracking down on this... and consider it stealing!

You cannot get free wireless networking unless you pay for an ISP service. If you have a laptop, some cyber-cafes and coffee shops will allow free access to their network, but if the network is protected, you cannot. If you pay for service, you will then need to install a wireless networking adapter and set it up. Is this what you're asking?
