Skydrive is a Live service people with Microsoft Live accounts have access to, and it provides a whopping twenty-five Gigabytes of storage space for users to upload pictures and documents. Problem is, no one knows about Skydrive. Since Microsoft isn’t actively promoting the Skydrive service, you either need to stumble upon it or read about it in blog. While it may not seem important for a lot of people to have this huge amount of space, it is yet another backup opportunity for photos and documents.
We always highly recommend our readers back-up to multiple sources, such as an external hard drive, DVD, and a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. But we also recommend getting the data off-site, and the Skydrive is a perfect solution for this. An added benefit is you can access these documents anywhere in the world from any computer, provided you have Internet access.
We think this is part of Microsoft’s “Cloud Computing” initiative, where in the future we will be doing much of our computing and word processing online. Skydrive will allow users to stay on the move and if they eventually give users the ability to sync the Skydrive to multiple computer, as with Microsoft Mesh, this service will really take off. So we are recommending everyone sign-up for a Live account if you do not already have one and visit your new Skydrive folders today.

Thanks for sharing this information.
So few people make adequate backups. I’ve seen clients cry over lost photos. It’s very sad.
Thanks again.
