I had a program called intervideo on my computer and removed it, I guess intervideo decided that if it couldn't stay neither could my disk drive, so thanks to you guys I was able to edit my registry and it is working perfectly again. Not only this but my computer wont let me restore it either. It seems to be a software issue as everything is working fine its just not picking up on my cd/dvd device.
