Windows Vista User Account Control   

Windows Vista has incorporated an additional slice of security between the user and the Operating System. This slice is User Account Control or UAC. Since this is enabled by default, Vista Users will need to give the Operating System confirmation on changes that can directly affect the security and reliability of Windows.
