The following software allows you to benchmark your computer. Benchmarking your computer allows you to test the performance of specific components, and provides valuable computer indexing information, such as the make and model of the motherboard, the speed of the RAM and the type of CPU you have.

We’ve included some of our favorite benchmark tools here. Some are specific to certain components, some index your entire computer.

Sandra SiSoft - Sandra SiSoft does a very thorough job of benchmarking your computer. They have a free version and a Lite version and several others that can test your system.
