Question Title DirectX Management Tool

DirectX Management Tool

DirectX allows applications and games to directly access graphics and audio devices on your PC to improve performance.   Most users will never need to use the DirectX Management Tool.   If your computer is having problems playing a lot of different games, you may want to run the utility to make sure there isn’t a problem.   If you’re experiencing a problem with one particular game or application, chances are the game developer already has a patch or update of some type posted on their website.

Accessing the DirectX Management Tool by going to the command line and typing dxdiag and hit enter.   The graphical user interface will load and display information about your system, your display, sound and input devices.   You’ll also see any errors listed in a dialog box near the bottom.

Since DirectX relies heavily on having the proper drivers installed, you should make sure you occasionally update the drivers for your hardware.   You should even make sure you are using the latest version of DirectX by visiting the DirectX website at http://www.microsoft.com/directx .
