Hi everyone,

New to this forum and hoping you can give some suggestions. The other day, my old Dell desktop decided to put the cursor in the center of the screen. It's a Dimension 700mhz, with only 128mg of RAM..sloooooowwwww.
I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse with the receiver plugged into a USB port. Never had any mouse problems before. I also tried a brand new wired USB mouse, no luck, the cursor just stays there, dead!

Help..please....

Thanks,
Geoff

Let me add:

The batteries are new, I've tried plugging the receiver into another USB port (only have 2), tried unplugging/replugging, power cycle, etc...still no luck.

Thanks,
Geoff

Have you tried other usb devices? Do they work? Does the keyboard respond? Is the keyboard OS/2 or USB?

Every function is a continuous function. :)

Look in "Device manager" for any exclamation points or yellow question marks. Also look at your features in Control panel under "mouse"

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies. Seems the little red "reset" button underneath the wireless mouse did the trick! DUH! :):):)

Thanks,
Geoff
