    Which Hard Drive Manufacturer Do You Prefer

    Hard drives, whether we like it or not, are an integral part of our computers. They have been improving in speed, capacity and reliability for years. We've all either built or purchased machines that at some point contain drives from different manufacturers. So which would you put in your new build?

    Western Digital hands down. Seagate if I had to. Wouldn't touch the others.

    Vote. Maxtor is now Seagate. Gulp.

    Didn't see the poll earlier. Might want to change IBM to Hitachi. I don't think IBM builds any kind of hardware anymore.

    I really used to like Maxtor drives before they were bought out..... makes me sad to remember that happened......

    WD all the way, WD Black for the best HDD IMO

    Just looked on Newegg at HDD prices...... **** Tsunami or earthquake or whatever it was over there....

    It's monsoon season in Asia. There's been massive flooding in Thailand and all of the plants that make drives are shut down. Gonna be at least spring before things get back to normal. Saw some wicked pics on CNN of the flooding.

    Probably. Most of us here wouldn't touch Samsung products with a 10 foot pole.
