Fiberoptic - A type of cable that transmits signals optically as opposed to electrically, and provides a cleaner and faster signal.

File Allocation Table - a table used by an operating system to manage disk drive space. FAT32 is an example of a file allocation table.

Firewall - A firewall is a hardware or software device used to control access to ports on a computer.

Firewire - Firewire is also known as IEEE 1394 and is a high speed serial bus developed by Apple.

Fixed Disk - Fixed Disk is another name for a HDD or hard disk drive.
