Gateway - A gateway is a device that connects different networks. A router can be a gateway between a Local Area Network and an ISP.

Geek - Slang for a person who enjoys computers or activities that seem more intellectual and less mainstream.

.gif - a file extension developed by CompuServe and used for images.

Giga - Prefix which means 1 billion. A gigabyte is 1024 megabytes.

Guest Account - a very limited account that allows basic login capabilities.

gzip - A GNU utility used for compressing files.
