Network - A group of computers or devices that a connected with the purpose of exchanging data. A network can exist locally (LAN) or over a wide area (WAN).
Network Interface Card - NIC - A networking component in a PC that gives the computer access to a network and which has a unique IP and MAC address.
Network Layer - Level 3 of the OSI model that deals with routers and transferring data from its source to its destination.
NTFS - An acronym for NT File System, NTFS gives support for long file names and provides users with full security access control. Users will generallly have a choice to format a hard drive using either the FAT32 or NTFS file systems.
