Enable and Disable Pop-up Blocker in Internet Explorer
Newer versions of Internet Explorer come with a pop-up blocker that should be enabled by default. If the pop-up blocker is not on, you can enable it by opening Internet Explorer. Next, click Tools in the menu, then Internet Options. Under the Privacy tab, you should see a section at the bottom this. If you want it enabled, check the box that says Block Pop-ups. If you want it disabled, uncheck the box.
You can also go into the Advanced section of the pop-up blocker and configure which sites you want to allow pop-ups and which you do not. There are some legitimate applications for pop-ups and sometimes these blockers can not distinguish between those that are good and those that are bad.
Clear History In Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer keeps track of websites you visit and stores them in your History. You can manually clear the History in IE by opening the browser and clicking Tools>Internet Options. Go to the General tab and at the bottom of the Windows you will see History. Click the button that says Clear History. You can also select the amount of days IE remembers by increasing or decreasing the number. If you do not want IE to keep track of the websites you are visiting, you can make that number zero.
