This infographic shows interesting stats on insecure wifi networks. It’s amazing how many people are still using WEP security despite its documented insecurity. While some older devices might not have WPA-2 WiFi security capability, users should find ways to phase those devices out of the home and make sure the entire wireless network is using WPA-2 security. One should definitely not be using WEP on a public WiFi hotspot.

Hi Dave,
Very interesting, I knew it was high but not that bad!
That is why I have three pages about routers, WiFi access points, and Wireless routers.
I have both in my home but the wireless router is turned off only use the acess point and yes the password and admin ID have been changed…
Thanks for the info!
I have older TIVOs and game devices that use only WEP. Not real concerned about security at home, but on the road this is a big concern. Thanks!
