    I’m surprised to view the results. Yes, CPU, a must. But a CPU without a PS, nothing can or will function, ever, without it (or any other attached component(s)). Just the facts.

    Every component work with electricity, so power supply is critical. Second Motherboard, cuz’ where are u going to attach all the componets to make them work?? That’s what it is.

      Computers need all of these components. I was actually trying to ask if you were going to spend extra on a part, which part is most critical to receive that upgrade? There are bad power supplies and really good power supplies. If you felt having clean power was essential, you would have voted for that. Or if you feel having a better, more expensive video card was essential you might have chosen that. I voted for RAM and video card, as I feel this is where you get the most performance boost for your money.

    All these are of equal importance, except maybe the sound card. Like a car – you don’t need a radio but you do need a motor, tranny, wheels, brakes…
