WPA or WEP Encryption?

These are security protocols that help secure your wireless network from traffic getting snooped or your bandwidth getting hijacked.

WEP is an obsolete protocol with severe security flaws.  It's still widely used because a lot of older devices do not support the newer WPA.  This mean a lot of users are forced to use this protocol to passively protect their systems.

WPA was created after realizing the flaws in WEP.  It is highly recommended you enable this on your router and other devices that share your wireless network.
