laptop booting to bios

Recommended Posts

I have an asus laptop that boots right to bios.  There is no warning message like : "no boot device detected" or anything.  But when I go to boot order I see nothing there.  I though maybe the hard drive was bad so I installed new one but with same result.  I tried switching to IDE and back to SATA.  It has no CD drive so I can't use that.  Everything seems fine except it doesn't see anything.  However, time and date are correct and counting.

Can you see the HDD in the BIOS when it is connected?  Can you make a USB bootable and see if it sees that in the boot devices?
