Hi Keef,

What is the make and model of the PC? Or is it a custom build? Does it turn completely off? If so, can you then turn it back on immediately? I would check the CPU temperature. Shutting down is a symptom of overheating. You can use a program like Speccy to monitor the temp (assuming you can get it to stay on that long).

I have seen you changed the RAM and the power supply unit already.

No idea how old the PC is, maybe we can try the followings first:

1. remove the small button like Bios / CMOs battery, then reseat that after a few minutes, if there is a new one, we can try replace one.

2. if the video card is dedicated, please take the video card off the motherboard, use a school paper rubber to clean the pins gently, then reseat couple times again on the motherboard PCIe slot.

3. look for the damaged or leaked capacitor on the motherboard.

4. some people said not worth to reseat the CPU, but I used to do that, just remember to connect the CPU FAN wire back to the motherboard. Also remember to connect the 4/6/8 pins power connector to the video card or to the power connector near to the processor besides the 24pin ATX main power connector.

More likely the motherboard problem, I have some similar issue PCs before, with the mobo replaced and working again.

Hope these helps.

The era of streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and YouTube TV, have made cord-cutting virtually painless, as viewers can dump their pricey cable bundles and cable box rentals for cheaper streaming television services. But the questions has always been, what do I do about my local channels?
