Finding the best computer diagnostic software isn’t easy–especially if you’re looking for something that’s free. Computer benchmark software might not be essential to the average user, but it is a valuable tool for technicians and power users who want to benchmark hardware such as CPU, Hard Drives, Video cards, etc. A good benchmarking program will give you a complete index of your hardware, its attributes and diagnostic information that could help you track down issues with consistency or speed.

One of the best programs we found that fit our overall criteria for testing and diagnostics was Fresh Devices’ utility called Fresh Diagnose. This program gives you a complete report on hardware and software such as motherboard information, video system information, PCI / AGP buses information, and external devices such as keyboard, mouse, and printer. This free utility also provides CPU benchmarking, hard drive benchmarking, memory benchmarking and video card benchmarking, so you can see how your computer stacks up against other brands.
The computer benchmark results are displayed in colorful graphs and reports you can print out.
You can use this utility to find the hardware bottlenecks in your computer so you can spend money in the right places when upgrading. It’s also a valuable tool to find problems with your computer, as it is able to work with your hard drive’s S.M.A.R.T software to monitor temperature and track the amount of errors the drive suffers. You can also monitor the temperature of your computer if your motherboard is equipped with sensors, as most newer computers are.
It’s also a good idea to use this type of program program when performing memory upgrades or when you flash the BIOS, as it provides you with all of the detailed specs you require when making important decisions for your computer.
Fresh Diagnose is free. They require you to register to access some of the more advance benchmarking features, but the registration is also free. So if you’re into knowing everything there is to know about your PC, you should try Fresh Diagnose. Or if you have any questions, post a comment below.
